Issues
Traditional processing of project documentation is based on standard CAD systems using unlinked files (typically DWG) or a more modern generation of electrical CAD/CAE systems with database support using interlinked individual files (DWG, XLS, MDB, SQL, TXT, XML, or internal EDB, PRO ...).
Processing documentation in this manner, in the form of individual files, leads to inconsistency of content, errors during handover, and confusion in various drafts of individual files.
Solution
The fully database architecture based on a single central database with online links to all documents. The EB platform thus guarantees automatic consistency of content and versioning of graphical and tabular data. There is no need to transfer data when collaborating between multiple professions or manually generate or update reports. There are no multiple different versions of documentation, but only one guaranteed source of information.
Benefits
- All design data in one place.
- Unique linking of object, tabular, and graphical materials - changes in one place are reflected online everywhere.
- Simultaneous work of users from different professions in one data model with shared objects.
- Microsoft SQL Server is a proven tool with generally well-known configuration, maintenance, and backup options.
- Full compatibility with the Microsoft environment and support for TCP/IP networks.
